Just got home to New York - exhausted. (I’ve gotten about 90 minutes’ worth of sleep in the past 41 hours.) Posting one more photo from the day — modified with a tilt-shift photo program.
Edit: I wish these photos did the view justice: The shuttle/launch pad look a lot further away than they really were. (We were the closest you could get, i.e. 3 miles from the pad. The general public can only get as close as 8 or 9 miles.) I’m not a photographer — and these shots are mostly from my 3-year-old iPhone — but believe me when I say it was close, it was loud, and it was bright and powerful in a way that took your breath away.
